Sooooo, day 4 of the 5AM Club challenge and it has proven to be rather challenging. Funnily enough I did wake up at 5 am this morning but it was only to have a drink of water, use the toilet and then go straight back to bed. Last night I went out for dinner and went to a live concert after it. So today’s challenge was spent suffering with a hangover.
I drank way too much red wine and stayed out way too late. It was a great night out with great people though so I don’t regret going out and staying out late, BUT I do regret drinking too much red wine. I don’t drink much usually and it’s even rarer for me too get too drunk, but last night I did.
Which means I didn’t do my victory hour at 5AM or any other time during the day as I had a hangover and a headache most of the day. Energetically I was knocked off balance too and I believe this takes at least a few days to recover from.
Fourth Day Failure of the 5AM Club
So no early morning wake up, no hour of power to set the day up for success, and almost zero exercise for the day. I ate very little throughout the day as I just didn’t feel too good so I guess that’s a plus for the diet. And later in the afternoon I walked to a shopping center to meet up with my friend. I must admit that I was trying to get a taxi along the way but I just couldn’t find an empty one. So I ended up walking the whole way.
Another plus is I bought some dumbells with my friend. She’s doing the 5AM club challenge too but is doing much better than me.
Exercise: Maybe a 30 minute walk in the sun (mostly because I couldn’t catch a cab).
Diet: Pretty good (unless you include the alcohol consumed from late last night)
How Could I Improve?
That’s an easy one: don’t drink so much. One or two glasses of wine should be the limit.
I’m not going to say that staying out late is something that I have to improve as that’s just life. I could shut myself inside and say no to every social occasion but then I become a recluse. It’s not something I do every night or even very often, so I don’t believe it’s something that needs addressing. We need to live.
5AM Club Conclusion for Day 4
It was a failure, yes. But I remain committed to giving this challenge everything I have. I’m ready for positive changes on all levels of my being and I’m determined to use this 5AM club morning routine as a tool to achieve my goals.
This is a 66 day challenge so it’s early days and I’m hoping to improve with time.

Own your morning, elevate your life! 😜
