Hello and Welcome to the IAMaffs.com blog. I AM your host and chief coffee maker.
Call me Dee, I’m about 40, I’m a guy, I’m Australian, and I’ve been in Istanbul, Turkey for the past few months. I’m here eating and looking and learning and smiling and living and loving annnnnnnnd I’m working on myself. I’m always working on myself, but this year I’m strengthening my foundations and adding a bit of paint to the walls.. hehe.
Enough about me though, let’s get back to why you’re really here.. YOU.. and what I can do for YOU! Well, the main reason for starting this blog and the I AM Affirmations Youtube channel is to be your reminder that you ARE great and you can be even better!
I forget who said it, but some wise man once said something like, self improvement is only temporary, you have to keep working at it.. just as being clean is only temporary and we have to keep cleaning ourselves. Obviously it was said much eloquently than I just put it, but the point is that motivation and self improvement is a lifelong job, just as bathing and brushing our teeth are. There’s no magic pill or action that keeps us supercharged forever.. it’s a daily, forever thing!
I also believe that we’re never sitting still. We’re always either growing or falling apart. The changes are so gradual that it feels like we’re just sitting still, but that’s just an illusion. These changes become more obvious with days, weeks, months and years but by that time you’re well down the path. That path is usually a very wrong path too if you’re strolling through life unconsciously. So the trick is to make sure that each day is a conscious improvement, that we’re going down a path that we choose, not one that is given to us while we we’re asleep at the wheel.
Anyway, I was just going to write a couple of sentences in this first post, but here I am still typing away. So in finishing this brief introduction, I will be sharing I AM affirmations, positive thinking tips, law of attraction, motivational quotes by inspirational people, prayers, healing techniques, mindset strategies, how to make money online, how to get fit and healthy, and all sorts of self improvement goodness.
