Soooo, let me first say that I am a night owl. I have never been a morning person and I have rarely ever seen the sun rise, unless of course I was having a very late night. But I have slowly been changing my sleeping habits since I moved to Istanbul, Turkey about 8 months ago. In Australia I was getting up after 10 a.m. but here I’m usually up before 8 a.m. So you can understand why I was first hesitant to even read a book that wants you to wake up at 5AM in the morning!
But I’m ready for some big positive changes and I want to push myself beyond my comfort barrier. So this week I’m joining the 5AM Club and I will be working through a lot of the methods put forward in the book.
Robin Sharma says that it takes 66 days to change a habit so I have set myself the goal of doing this for at least 66 days.
I will be less strict on weekends but may still do it if I’m not up to much. Weekdays will be done religiously though! They say plans don’t work if you don’t work the plan, so I want to give it my full commitment.
My plan is to share my progress on the iamaffs.com blog on an almost daily basis. I’ll post each weekday and let you know how I’m going. I want to share the good, the bad and the ugly. If my conclusion at the end of the 66 days is negative then I’ll say it. If I LOVE it and think everybody should try it then expect some 5AM club preaching from me hehe.

Have you read the 5AM Club book by Robin Sharma? Did you like it? Did you implement his systems? I would love to hear what people have to say about the book, especially those who have taken action and not just read it for entertainment.
Here’s a few Robin Sharma quotes that I posted a few days ago. They’re not just quotes from the 5AM club book though, they’re taken from numerous sources.
